@browt1971 Prior to the internet, we did not have an awareness of the scope of human thought ... not potential, but actual thought patterns. COVID showed us how average people think, and the vast difference between average thinkers & active thinkers who ponder & absorb new knowledge.

I still don’t understand why so many of us unvaccinated Americans were treated with such disrespect and harsh judgment during the COVID era mandates for our personal medical choice. and why that same dismissive attitude still lingers today. Entire communities were divided, livelihoods were affected, and we unvaccinated were pressured in ways that left lasting damage. All with very little willingness now to reflect on it. The pain, disbelief, and emotional toll were real for us unvaccinated. You can’t erase our experience. I will not let you. Just by moving on or changing the narrative. Those scars don’t just disappear. At the very least, there should be acknowledgment of what was done to us unvaccinated and what we went through. That would be a basic step toward honesty and healing. It’s not about one group you have been acknowledged. While for some reason the unvaccinated is being ignored.

Everyone should, at some time in their life, have to clean out the house of an elderly parent or relative. You will realize that most of your possessions are waste. The things you buy at Walmart or Amazon aren't even worth pennies on the dollar.

Things to teach teens: Don't date people w/bad tempers, crying, yelling, insulting, hitting, revenge or cheating. People are on their BEST BEHAVIOR when dating; all bad behaviors worsen over time. Disconnect from dating them BEFORE having sex, which emotionally locks people in.

I follow a Moms' group. They're constantly at wit's end over children's behavior. The common denominator? The NEVER mention the consequences that they employ as a means to curb the behaviors and teach the children what's expected of them. Society is doomed by its own stupidity.

@Tonipatriotusa @toobaffled Wow. I knew that "brain death" was all about selling organs, but I didn't realize that circumcision might be about selling the tissue. Is the tissue like an adrenochrome kind of thing, in terms of having an evil value?

My wife and I went out to dinner last night, and I’m still a little confused by what happened. 😅🍽️ Our bill was about $70, and we left a $20 tip. In my mind, that seemed more than fair. It wasn’t meant to be cheap or disrespectful — we paid the bill, left what we thought was a good tip, and were ready to go. But the waiter seemed unhappy and made a comment that if we weren’t willing to tip more, we shouldn’t be dining out. That honestly surprised me. A $20 tip on a $70 bill is close to 30%, so I didn’t think we had done anything wrong. I completely understand that servers work hard, and I know tips are an important part of their income. But when a customer leaves what feels like a generous tip and still gets made to feel like it isn’t enough, it makes the whole tipping conversation feel even more uncomfortable. Tipping used to feel like a thank-you for good service. Now it sometimes feels like there’s a number people are expected to hit, and anything below that can cause tension. It feels like everyone is frustrated — customers feel pressured, servers feel undervalued, and the system puts both sides in an awkward position. So I’m genuinely curious: was $20 on a $70 bill unreasonable, or have tipping expectations changed that much? Would you have been surprised too?

Here’s a restaurant in New Orleans . The four girls you see had left without paying their bill.. unfortunately they forgot their car keys so they had to come back. That’s when they get busted. Turns out the table next to them was videoing the whole thing. As they get confronted by the wait staff everyone sitting around them, starts making fun of them saying you should’ve paid your bill”. “Worst criminals ever forgot your keys”. And my favorite quote.” y’all making us look bad” 😂😂 LOVE IT!!

“I don’t know who I can trust anymore.” A woman at a dog park says she’s scanning strangers, wondering who’s “on her side” and who isn’t. “I also don't want people to be looking at me thinking, oh, white woman, she definitely voted for him.”

@SamsaraSings You walked into a church, and you expected the people to (a) look at you, (b) know that you hadn't attended there before, and (c) know that you wanted to interact with people? There are almost ALWAYS people at the door to greet you. This post sounds extremely whiny, or even fake.

Why don’t Christians welcome new church attendees? I’m a baby Christian. Other Christians on here always tell me if I went to church, it would help me. But the one time I walked a very long walk to the only church close by, I had a very unpleasant experience. They were like a clique, looking at me as if I was a weirdo when I said hello. No one approached me or welcomed me. And when I tried to be friendly to them, I was ostracised. The sermon was great and the music was okay. But the people were not what I was told they would be at all. It broke my heart. Is this how Christians usually act towards new people in church? Everyone told me to call churches. The vast majority of churches don’t take calls and don’t return messages. Those that have called back asked why I think anyone would want to pick up a complete stranger to bring them to church. I guess that’s a valid point. We live in a dangerous world with a lot of scammers. I have been attending my best friend’s online church (in St Louis) since Christmas Eve. I always said hello and spoke in the chat but was ignored. Those in the chat all seem to know each other so it’s not at all welcoming. I love the music and the pastor so I’ve continued to attend. 2 weeks ago, a woman in chat asked if I usually went in person and if she’d met me. I told her no and who my friend was. My friend has taught kids on Sundays for decades and her husband is involved in putting the sermons online. So my friend is *very* well known. Now, that woman in chat said hello again to me last Sunday. But it took 6 months. Wouldn’t it be better to make all new people feel welcome? Maybe someone else is like me, brand new. I don’t find most Christians to be anything like Christ at all, to be honest. I’m sure He would have welcomed me with open arms. Shouldn’t we aspire to be more like Him? What am I missing? I read in the Bible that Jesus commanded “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” He also said: “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” I guess He didn’t specify that Christians should welcome new people to a church but I thought it’s kind of implied in His words. Am I wrong? Please help me with this. I’m a bit lost.
