My initial response to the Julia stuff: I really don’t know how to process everything. It makes me feel sick knowing that someone who sought me out first as a fan who wanted to make things like me went on to cause so much hurt. I wont lie and say the signs weren’t there, but my main concern is for everyone abused and harmed by this long run of disregard for what this scene’s about: having fun making things. I’ll consider whether it’s worth adding my own experiences to the conversation, but at the very least I’m glad that the mood has generally gravitated toward reestablishing respect for the artists and creators who commit hours and days of their lives to make big people commit eat little people. It’s too easy to take this work for granted, and if we don’t respect the effort and unique artistic expression of our creators, we’re going to lose more and more as we go. My sympathy especially goes out to the fans and supporters who were taken advantage of so many countless times. Seeing the scope of the abuse was the most staggering part of the read for me. And whether the allegations of faking her illness are true or not, as someone who just lost their mom to cancer, even using an illness as a way to manipulate and profit from the sympathy of others is one of the scummiest things you can do. Wherever she is now, I wish her the best and hope she gets the help she needs, but there’s no forgiving this behavior. Honestly, I don’t want to get too involved either. While all of this was happening, I was receiving condolences from dozens of family I hadn’t seen in years for most of the day and trying to keep it together. I’ll just leave it here for now. Look out for each other and show grace where it’s deserved

@CarolineDrivolt What she did with spreading someone's else's images, as her own, is a crime. And those actions have nothing to do with her illness, yet she makes it a point to say she felt pressured too..we are astonished. Nobody we know asked her to start doing that. But she used it to get ours

As this involves the community as a whole, I'm speaking out about Julia's shadow. Artists and fans alike have been taken advantage of / catfished / emotionally manipulated and huge sums of money were taken. Over $60k is gone. Details & proof in the link: docs.google.com/document/d/e/2…

@CarolineDrivolt An apology review is being worked on, but I will say this. There are many lies, like not repeat asking for steam games, and her saying some of the IRL images were hers. All of them were accounted for. Non were. Also this apology is mainly pity-farming, making herself a victim.

Insane that I had to learn that the girlfriend that I opened my heart to was flirting and sexting with other women/men in DMs, my own close friends included, through a fucking google doc. Logging out of this account forever after this. I should’ve left this place way long ago.

I'm sad to admit I sent this person money more than once. What was once what I thought a genuine friendship turned into the only point of contact was when Julia would ask for my money. Groceries, transport, vet bills, usually some sort of urgent request like that.

beware artist she WEAPONIZES BEING NICE TO YOU as a client she will asks for more, weasel with money, wont take a NO yet shell always be apologetic, play dumb and nice you'll feel mean to say no if you dont set boundaries u are cooked once is a thing but the pattern shows intent

now, let this be a lesson for you all that feel too shy to say no live and learn it does really sucks that many that left or even contemplate leaving because of this the fact so MANY ARTIST got a horrorstory of Julia is p telling also i don't buy the apology it really reads like

@PsyShack3D We made this so that people across this community can see that they aren't alone. Julia is a big public figure, and if anybody spoke out, it likely would've ended poorly for them. But as a group we came together to do this to give people the courage to voice their experiences.

@CueMVL That's not what I'm referring to. Like I said, not excusing certain behaviors. What I'm talking about is posting something for the purpose of publicly mass shitting on someone because it makes people feel good to be assholes, under the guise of protecting people.

@PsyShack3D Its not very nice to call someone's experience with a person who used them for sexual gratification via IRL images of my mouth "Bullshit". While she sent Silvia's IRL images, and claimed them as her own. WITHOUT Silvia's consent. Im disappointed, but I respect your opinion onthis

@CueMVL I worked on stuff for Julia as well and I don't excuse certain behavior, but I also sometimes feel the drive to call out bullshit when I see it.

@PsyShack3D @CarolineDrivolt I will not be starting a twitter argument. But I will say this, our group has gave her chances to apologize one on one. But she refused to see she was wrong in asking for money, and even continued to ask and guilt-trip. We have screenshots, and will be added later on if necessary

@CarolineDrivolt Not to excuse any behavior, but this reads pretty vindictive, insensitive, highly speculative, and frankly pretty socially inept. You talk about a safe and encouraging environment, yet you fail to consider anything about how being in a situation like this can cause someone to act
