i always thought the carousel horse symbolism was interesting bcos it mirrors a lot of what the members have to go thru. a horse is meant to run freely, yet on a carousel it’s put on display, constantly watched, admired, and confined to the same path — very ironic bc like fame, you may be loved by millions while losing the freedom to simply exist on your own terms.

Having the black abyss swirl above him makes it feel like a heavy storm that is about to ‘swallow him whole.’ b/c it hangs over his head, it shows how mental exhaustion and trauma can feel like an inescapable cloud tracking your every move.
