@reallifeuzi it's like... if you enjoy the Mario movie, that's alright. But it ain't deep. The games can skew older. Zelda has "deeper" themes but even as a diehard Zelda fan I can't lie and say that anything except a couple games like Majora's Mask ever get very deep.

@julianmiflaco I agree with your take, but also will say, that unfortunately, compared with stuff before it, it was actually a step forward in depicting Indigenous people. Again, the movie still was far off the mark, but I give it a small participation trophy for sorta trying.

@StarLuke04 It was when I watched The Little Mermaid and the Little Mermaid 2 around when I was ten. Saw Melody turn into a mermaid and was just like "wow, being a merperson would be the coolest thing ever" and it evolved from there, seeking out merfolk media, and then drawing merfolk too.

Happened to have a glimpse of mermaids on the early days of YouTube when I was a young boy. Let's just say it's an awakening that I've been hiding until my teenage years

A perfect grade Ocarina of Time is: 1. Artstyle is the art you see below but 3D modeled. With the gradient lighting, toon lines. Literally you should be able to replicate the pose you see here but in 3d (and yes, there's proof of this being possible) 2. Reimagine the combat to be like Twilight Princess. Enemies engage with more meaning, solutions to the combat can quicken the fights, sword fighting moves can be obtained by side quests. 3. Exploration should rip out a tiny corner from Breath of the Wild. And by that I ONLY mean that players should still be able to explore off the intended main story path. But unlike the Ocarina of Time original. This version should be loaded with things to do for making that choice. Visited Zora river before going to Hyrule marketplace for the first time? Have a Zora offer an item to take to the Hyrule market place shop for a reward. This will alleviate new players frustration with failing to find the right path. Ease back on the right path. And be perceived as extra content for returning players. 4. Add. But don't take away. Don't censor or brighten the darker elements of Ocarina. But feel free to add things over time that might feel empty or barren. Hyrule Field for example can start off as Hyrule Field as we've always known. But there's plenty of space in there to occupy with quests, characters, or a sense of lived lives amongst existing characters.

@HobbitsHole1 @oldmedia @H0r53f7y Yeah the ambiguity of it is great. It could be a tale of ruthless murder, the terrifying supernatural, or just a prank that spooked Ichabod from ever coming back. Also it's just peak Halloween spookiness, I love it.

Phantom Hourglass is a genuinely good game, and the stylus controls aren't as bad as a lot of people say, apart from a couple microphone moments. The quality is just so good across the Zelda series. It was so much better than awful licensed games I had on the game boy advance.

Give us your BRTUALLY honest #Zelda opinions. *ahem* Tears of the Kingdom shouldn't cost $69.99.
