#cyclehack is just 5 years old and is now in 50 countries in 5 continents. Fantastic leadership from #Glasgow based @wearesnook, and @GlasgowCC even supported getting the concept off the ground!

Bus stops can be dramatically enhanced by floating islands. This Alta designed separated bike lane in Denver makes good use of the concept.

The Dutch cycle 15,000,000,000 km. per year. That’s an average of 1,000 km. for every man, woman and child. Not because their country is flat, but because they have a network of 35,000 km. of separated cycle tracks and 55,000 km. of traffic-calmed streets: bicycledutch.wordpress.com/2018/01/02/dut…

The Senate's tax bill aims to remove the $20/month commuter tax benefit while keeping a $255/month parking benefit. Say what? We think social, health, and benefits for cities far out weigh costs. Tell Congress if you agree: peopleforbikes.org/congress-bike-… @peopleforbikes

A lot of good news in one graphic from @nacto. As city biking grows in popularity, more bike lanes = more bikers. More bikers on the road = less injury risk to bikers. Full report: usa.streetsblog.org/wp-content/upl…

Vancouver’s Union Street. Fun fact: one local restauranteur opposed this project in 2013, claiming it would “cut him off at the knees”. Twelve months later, he was on the record stating business was better than ever, largely in part to an increase in tourists riding bikes there.

With FedEx, UPS, and DHL shifting an increasing number of packages by pedal power, the global cycling movement desperately needs the political and financial clout of these corporate giants. linkedin.com/pulse/what-bik…
