The winners of the Joicey Cup played this evening were St Josephs U13s who beat Shotton Hall 3-0. That’s the double for St J which has not been achieved a great deal over recent years. A short break over Easter now to charge our batteries and go again. C’mon Durham.

Mixed news this evening for our County sides. The U16 boys lost 3-4 to Cleveland which unfortunately means we don’t progress any further in the NC competition. The U14 girls meanwhile drew at Cleveland which was the point required to qualify for the semi finals. C’mon Durham.

Good win tonight for Durham Johnston in the Senior Knockout Cup v Emmanuel College. Hard luck for Emmanuel but they did win the League Cup last week. Next up is Joicey Cup final between St Josephs & Shotton Hall on Wednesday. County game tomorrow - it’s all go. C’mon Durham.

Emmanuel College Gateshead won the Senior League Cup tonight in a good final against Whitburn. This is the first time that they have won this cup. Game had to be stopped in the second half for a hailstone storm. Clocks go forward this weekend for the start of British Summer Time.

Other news from today - our U18 boys beat Northumberland to win the Derek Watson trophy. Great win guys well done. Peterlee St Bedes were the worthy winners of the Bert Hodgson trophy beating Whitburn 6-2. Busy times but lots of schools football going on which is the whole point.

We have done it - our U16 girls beat Cleveland to reach the national final and join the U14s on the journey to Stoke City where the finals are. First time ever we have had two teams in the national finals in the same season. Well done girls and managers. C’mon Durham.

It was our U13 TUC final tonight with two teams from South Tyneside- St Joseph’s & Mortimer. Congratulations to both sides on reaching the final however STJ were stronger and won comfortably. Let’s see if they win the Joicey Cup final next week - Shotton Hall may think otherwise.

Congratulations to East Durham who tonight won our U16 Lambton Trophy for the 4th consecutive season. That is not the same team winning each season it’s a different team each year winning the same cup. The only thing the same each year are the team managers- so well done to them.

Good win tonight for our U14 boys v South Yorkshire at Maiden Castle. Goals from Liam 2 Jack 2 & Riley enabled us to win 5-2. Not a good first half but more like it after the break. Top of the league at least for now. C’mon Durham.

Huge congratulations to our U14 girls who yesterday beat Gloucestershire in the National semi finals. Goals from Imogen and Molly2 without response took us to the final. Well done to all players and staff and hopefully we will have a great day out in Stoke. C’mon Durham.

U16 girls National Cup semi final tonight has been cancelled by the venue due to the weather.

Our U16 girls warmed up for their National Cup semi final on Thursday at Cleveland with a convincing away victory over Northumberland. Goals from Sophia 4, Katie, Izzy, Layla & Olivia with 2 conceded. Well done and good luck for Thursday. C’mon Durham.

Well done to our U14 boys team who progressed to the NC final beating Cheshire 3-2. Great game - credit to both teams. What an achievement. This is only our second season with an U14 boys team so well done to the management group for assembling such a strong squad. C’mon Durham.

Tonight’s U16 girls fixture v North Yorkshire has been postponed at the request of our opponents.

Good victory this pm for DCSFA U14 girls v Northumberland. Goals from Molly 2 Emily 2 & Imogen with none conceded made it an enjoyable afternoon. Next up -the National cup semi final v Gloucester. C’mon Durham.

An awful way to end this evening’s U16 girls game v Cleveland. With Durham leading 3-0 and 8 minutes remaining, a Cleveland player sustained a leg injury. The players were taken off the pitch. We hope the injury is not too serious and the player makes a speedy recovery.

Great performance and result for our U18 boys tonight beating Cleveland Reds 5-1 in the Northern Counties League. Still lots to play for this season from a team who rarely lets us down. Well done boys - C’mon Durham.

Good win for our U16 girls tonight v Northumberland at Seaham. Goals from Sophia & Macy were enough however if it wasn’t for the visiting keeper it would have been a lot more - she was outstanding. Thanks to Seaham Red Star for the use of their pitch. C’mon Durham.
