Genuine question. Can any farmers out there tell me why this is becoming common practice in mid Wales?

@RCTCouncil great that the rarer forms of #orchid are kept but surely leave the #wildflower & #beeline in tact over the periods of time they occur. Instill this in policy already! Do more by nature

@PortlyLeader Also located here in Llanharan. Nice they’ve been left by the council but feel all grass sides could be left for 3-4 months over the summer flowering duration

Martin, thank you for the prompt to go & take a look at Cardiff Gate. I found 860 flowering spikes over the whole site this afternoon.
