I'm old enough to remember when McDonald's french fries didn't need an ingredients list because everybody knew they were just potatoes, salt and tallow. When they switched to 4 kinds of industrial fat to save money, they lost their world famous taste so they added hydrolyzed wheat and milk derivatives to try and get back the beefy flavor. Bestens ausgebildete Fahrer, die ihren Beruf talentiert ausüben können, sind jetzt nötig oder besser schon gestern. Ein Strassen transport Fachmann in der Schweiz geht 3 Jahre lang in die Lehre. Habe auch noch keinen Roboter daheim, wie soll dann einer morgen Lkw Fahren? 🤷‍♂️

A workforce that believes it is being replaced does not bargain hard for its future. Investing in driver wages, training, and retention is irrational because the profession will be automated out of existence anyway. Why build a professional driver class when the robots are coming?
