Day 8 of countdown to summer was BEACH DAY ☀️🏝️🌊🐚🩱🩳 We had so much fun today relaxing on “Penelope” the flamingo and sipping some cold iced tea to some cool Caribbean tunes. We sure are embracing the spirit of summer 😎 @DHSBains

There are some new little friends over here in kindergarten. 🐛🦋 Our class is very excited to welcome some caterpillars to room 8. We can’t wait to watch them grow and turn into beautiful butterfly’s 🔍. @DHSBains

We took a close look at our class microgreens today and drew our observations! Kindergarten is sure doing a good job taking care of their plants! @DHSBains

Spring has finally sprung and we are celebrating over here in kindergarten by making some flower art! This project involved us ripping tiny pieces of paper and gluing them on our flower petals. This was not only festive, but great for our fine motor skills! 🧠🌼 @DHSBains

Last week Kindergarten learned all about plants! We learned about their life cycle, the things they need to grow and, of course, how they drink water! We had fun watching watching our celery turn colours as the “xylem” sucked up the water! We love science over here in kinder! 🧫

Kindergarten is hunting for beginning sounds! Today we had a special Easter egg hunt to celebrate our last day of school before spring break! Students found pictures in their eggs which they had to match with the beginning sound on our alphabet rug! @DHSBains

We have some pretty brave kiddos down here in kindergarten! Today these kids showed their special talents in front of the WHOLE school. WOW! A big round of applause to all DHS students who participated, both behind the scenes and on stage! 👏 @DHSBains #HarnessHasHeart

Kindergarten is all ready to catch those Leprechauns! 🍀 We learned all about the different kinds of traps today and then put our knowledge to the test with some trap building. Kindergarten hoping for some luck in catching some leprechauns this St. Patrick’s weekend!

We’re pretty lucky over here in Kindergarten 🫶🏼 This week kinder has been doing all things St. Patrick’s day! From minions to Moms we’ve got some lucky lives.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Kindergarten answered that question today as we wrapped up our community helpers unit. It looks like we got some future vets, farmers, and of course teachers 😉 coming your way! @DHSBains

We have been learning about all the kinds of community helpers we can find in our city! Today was doctors and nurses. We drew all the things we thought we might see a doctor or a nurse using, including stethoscopes, medical kits, needles and more. @DHSBains

We have some pretty big ambitions over here in Kindergarten! Today students celebrated their 100th day of school by painting 100 gum balls and writing about what they will do when they’re 100 years old. From still living with our parents, to owning 100 toys, we thought of it all!
