So this was the third assassination attempt on the US President, and again it happened on a weekend. At this point it honestly feels a bit strange to me because every time something like this happens, it’s always on Saturdays or Sundays, so probably they are just trading on some random exchange during weekdays, and when the market is closed, they finally get free time to attack such important people. If they were using @bitget, they wouldn’t really need to wait for weekends like this, because US stock futures are available 24/7 there, so they would still be busy with their trades instead of having this kind of “free time”to attach SUCH IMPORTANT people. Jokes apart. Three attempts already, all happening on weekends, and now there are discussions going around that this one might not even be real. I’m not confirming anything, but from outside some things don’t fully make sense. Also, looking at the previous two incidents, the market reaction was actually quite underwhelming. The first one saw around a 0.8% gain on the S&P 500, and the second one was even smaller with just 0.2%, which is not really the kind of move you would expect from headlines like this. From a market point of view, this kind of news can still create a volatile Monday open because uncertainty usually comes first before any clear direction. But personally, I’m not someone who waits for the market to open anymore, I am positioned and prepared. For the last 5 to 6 months, I’ve been trading on Saturdays and Sundays as well, so for me it’s more about positioning early rather than reacting late when everyone already moves. If volatility comes in, I would rather try to catch the expansion from the beginning instead of entering after the move is already done. Tell me how you think the market is going to react to this.
