Aha, yes, almost forgot. Mini versions of the weapons have been created too. Will have a lot of fun implementing these. They won't be on the next play test this Friday but perhaps on the following one.

I had a lot of fun working with modellers for my hytale server. This stands 5x the player and will work as a boss. More to come (eventually)

I've made the decision to remove the 4 currencies in Day and Night. I'm over complicating a currency for no benefit for anyone. There will be no iron, wood or stone. Just gold. Why on earth did I think that would be a good concept originally? 😂

Besides skill trees, I wanted to do something a bit more... special. I wanted to lock buffs for the ENTIRE server, very powerful ones, and give the players the opportunity to be greedy or grow the server. The big plans for Day and Night, and why I love modding on hytale so much, is that we will take abuse of the `/world add` command. Eventually we will have multiple servers, all fighting against each other. You might just need everyone on your home server as strong as possible...

In our hytale server - Day and Night, we don't believe that skill trees should be locked behind levels. Not everyone likes to grind. Some people like to flip items for currency, some people just like to chill and sometimes you get a rare drop and make a stupid amount of cash. So, instead of locking skills behind levels, we've locked them behind in game currency (you can NEVER purchase currency with real money). You might be weak in your abilities but there's something special about being a low level and potentially dominating over much higher players...

I love party systems, I love running solo. That's why I've created the party system. Only useable right now for dungeons but with plans to expand it out for PvP/SMP! Very easy to use, very simple, just how we like it. I hope you can join me on Hytale to clear some dungeons!

The map on our Hytale server is very simple, it's a small little island that you do everything from. Ensures that there's always something to do. And with our 4 factions, we decided to split that map into an equal 4 quandrants. You can even invite your friends to help you build! Each quadrant has a faction tower in the middle. Used for some faction events. Will you build a town or will you build defences? Don't make your defences too hard or you won't be able to score points yourself!

I've already talked about insurance before, but I'll mention it again since I'm on a bit of a data dump with my game on Hytale. A mix between a punishing death and not punishing the player too much is a fine balance. That's why I want to encourage people to try and fight other players or take on challenging NPC's. So take out your expensive, perfected armour set and know that it will be safe... As long as you remember to keep it insured.... Let's hope no one is camping that insurance vendor?

The dungeons in Day and Night on hytale are suppose to be fun. They are procedurally generated from 7 templates that were created back when I ran this server on Minecraft. The system allows me to easily increase the dungeon size and even add new templates. Are you a builder and want to have your room in our dungeons? Reach out, we'd love to work with you. On another note, I'm a fan of roguelites. Probably what actually inspired the dungeon design. I also like to become powerful. That's why when you clear a room in our dungeons, you get to pick a powerup.

Limited bank space is just one of those things, we all like to hoard but caps need to be put in place. I've given players in Day and Night on Hytale 216 spaces for you to store your goodies away from thieves and nefarious players! No more having to hide your valuables 50 blocks down in some nuclear style bunker.

One thing I loved about old style MMO's is that you had to travel to certain shops, do a lot of research and then plan your journey. Be that player owned shops or NPC owned. Unfortunately, that game design just doesn't work for the majority of the player base. That's why I decided to make an auction house. Day and Night on Hytale will not have player owned shops, but we will feature an easy to use auction house to sell / buy.

I HATE being locked into a class, I use to enjoy it but constant play balancing makes it so some classes are OP one month, then unusable next month. All the time and energy effectively wasted. I'm also against the idea of spending time/money to reset your skill points, just because you made a small error/dev team decided to nerf a day after you specced up/you got bored. So thats why, in Day and Night on Hytale, we keep thing simple. 3 attributes and you can respect them at any time.

One of the key things I plan to add into my Hytale server is risky death (lose everything) and safe death. When talking about PvP events - I believe safe death mechanic is the way to go. To keep players engaged and let those who would never actually do a bit of PvP, to give it a go. That’s why in Day and Night, we will have a system to enable switching between these two automatically. Outside of events it’s still risky! The rush of losing everything on you can be thrilling - but only some souls can handle that pressure - will you be one of them?

@DaNHytale @emerson_pradoS @HytaleAlerts There are much bigger competitors to minecraft than hytale, lay of the lands for example. Hytale seemed like competition until they released that unfinished broken mess of a game, and it being a "beta" isnt a good excuse.

Simon mentioned there is significant work underway in Hytale's rendering and shaders department. 🔸 The game's visuals will improve drastically once complete. 🔸 New tech improvements will make all current textures appear much cleaner. 🔸 The textures already look much better than they did in 2011.

My Hytale server now has its first faction vs faction event. Territory Conquest! Day and Night is split up by 144 land plots surrounding the town. Players can purchase these plots and build on them. During this event, the plots are "captured". The first 10 minutes it's a FFA with no PvP. After that, the war begins. You're able to cap someone else's plot and attack them! Fight for your faction! Game ends after 20 minutes, repeated every hour. Completely optional to join.

In Day and Night we have 4 factions, changeable every 7 days. Each with their own buffs. Each faction can compete in daily events (voteable up to 7 days in advance) against each other. The central point of each faction has a little tower - here's where you will capture the flag, protect your base, or commit a heist. Events will run every hour during the day and last 30 minutes. From my gaming experience you generally see one or 2 guilds absolutely dominate the game. Here, there are no guilds. You pick your faction and you work together as a team. I even have plans to nominate a player in a faction to be "Faction leader"... Not sure what it does yet, but it will be interesting to me to see if natural leaders can convince the others... or maybe we will see some weird spy games?
