Ok I want to theorize about Kuma, lemme cook 🤫 Since the Thriller Bark & Sabaody incidents with Kuma, I've been very interested in him. I believe Kuma actually poofed the Straw Hats away to save them from the Celestial Dragons/Kizaru, not to hurt them. And now seeing Doflamingo say he's "dead" (but clearly alive), it could kinda help tie into my theory I was thinking of. I now think Kuma used to be some big bad tyrant, as said here, and for whatever reason he ended up becoming a cyborg puppet for the government to act as a "pacifist". My guess is maybe he's only in control of his body/actions temporarily (Dr Vegapunk can control him or something?), and what he did on Sabaody went against the government's orders so when he told Luffy "We won't see each other again" maybe he meant metaphorically, that Kuma was about to essentially sacrifice himself to save the Straw Hats. My best guess why is that he believes Luffy is actually the best bet to take down the government and put all his marbles in that basket. So now after Sabaody, Kuma is not in control of his body at all and is why he's attacking Ivankov who's claiming they were close friends, since he isn't really "Kuma" right now.
