@Peter_Bukowski Understandably Watson is probably asking for more than Alec Pierce received. Does it make sense to sign any receiver, who is not elite, to a contract of over $30 million AAV? That would be difficult.

If the Packers use a top 100 pick on a WR now, it might tell us something about where they think the Christian Watson market is (too high for them to want to sign).

A late-night scenario for the Packers I'm thinking about: Trade back to the late 50's/early 60s Draft Malik Muhammad/Julian Neal/Daylen Everette Take Mike Washington Jr. at 84 Use a 2027 comp pick to trade up from 120 for Bryce Lance Grab another CB on Day 3.

@Peter_Bukowski Jude Bowry is the Day 3 OT I’m most intrigued by. Athleticism is there; requires some refinement.

This could be your Packers Day 3 OT convert -- and there aren't many in this draft class. Most of the OTs in this class are enormous (6'6+) and the Packers don't usually play in those waters. Elite athlete. Experienced player in a major conference. Ideal size for GB.
RAS.football@MathBomb

Brian Parker II is a OC prospect in the 2026 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.76 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 17 out of 679 OC from 1987 to 2026. Pending agilities and bench, times unofficial. ras.football/ras-informatio…

@AndyHermanNFL As the team faces plenty of potential turnover at receiver, Jauan Jennings could be a strong value at receiver. He could open the door for a Wicks or Reed trade, too.

Doing some research for tomorrow’s pod - curious which mostly realistic trade or free agent signing you’d still like to see the Packers make?

@danorlovsky7 Coming in to today offensive line would’ve been a fair argument. Now their starting five is crystal clear and will add depth through the draft. Defensive line is quite clearly the biggest need on the roster now.

@notbobkoz They’re moving forward with a cohesive group of five for possibly the next three years. Moving guys all over during camp clearly has not led to the desired results. Morgan, Rhyan and Belton know where they’ll be playing and can focus on their craft at those positions.

@wendellfp Rhyan seemed to play better at center than he did guard so I don’t buy a potential switch back. Packers will look at day two guys with extensive experience at left tackle and then move that guy/guys around during camp as insurance for the line.

What I think happens: The Packers paid Rhyan and will still draft a center. If the rookie center works, they move Rhyan to guard and cut Banks in 2027.

I suggested this made sense for the Packers at a lower number ($6-8M APY) precisely because this is the deal he would sign on the open market. Green Bay clearly agreed on the latter point but believes he’s worth the money.
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter

Just ahead of free agency, the Packers and OT Sean Rhyan reached agreement on a three-year, $33 million extension with a max value of $39 million. The deal contains an $11 million signing bonus, and prevents Rhyan from hitting the free-agent market. The deal was negotiated by Sam Mirza, Cameron Foster and Chris Cabott.

@MySportsUpdate There’s not much to figure out since Jenkins was out most of the year. Morgan/Banks/Rhyan/Belton/Tom will be the starting line as of right now. Packers are prepared for this transition.

Packers have enough deficiency in the trenches where a quality option along the lines needs to be their selection at 52. Watson and Kraft will get extensions in the offseason, last year’s first was spent on receiver, and there’s enough depth to not spend another key resource on a pass catcher.

@ESPNMilwaukee @EvCoRadio @WildeAndTausch @EvCoRadio spending too much time with Chris Canty and acting like the 2025 season never happened. Every metric says Jordan Love was in the top 5 of quarterbacks this year. Packers not winning at Chicago does not fall at Jordan’s feet. He was sensational.
