The Ecuadorian "controversy" is not real it's people trolling on the Internet and many of those trolling were born in the US. He's an American citizen. His ethnic background includes Mexican roots because of his dad. And that's it. That's not up for debate. He can represent himself as Mexican just as much as all Mexican American fighters have in the past.
