It felt like the last stage of Mei coming of age was having her understand her mom on a deeper level. She isn't a monster, or a goddess but human but all of the fears and flaws that comes with that. #TurningRedWatchParty - DS

Mei and... Ming? This scene was expertly boarded by Madeline Sharafian. Once this was put together, the team really knew what we were aiming for with the shape of the movie. #TurningRedWatchParty

Panda Ming went through some last minute rewrites and redesigns to make her look and act more like Ming rather than a monster...felt better for the story. #TurningRedWatchParty - LC

We tried to find giant red pandas as reference for Ming, but somehow we couldn't find any. So we had to calculate how fast 50ft furs move through space and put that into Ming. Simmed by Ricardo Nadu and Robert Kosai. #TurningRedWatchParty

This is what the whole movie has been leading up to...Mei vs Ming. One big messy therapy session! #TurningRedWatchParty - DS
