Vast
Vast@vast·
Vast is ready to meet NASA's call for ensuring America's continuous presence in low-Earth orbit. We look forward to learning more details about NASA's proposed approach. Vast has always believed in reducing risk through a stepping stone approach. We are well-positioned to provide space station technologies and services to NASA having secured 100% mission success with Haven Demo and with substantial progress already made toward our Haven-1 launch early next year.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman@NASAAdmin

NASA is building on 25 years of continuous human presence aboard the International Space Station. Before its decommissioning in 2030, we intend to:     - Increase support for commercial crew PAM and cargo missions to the ISS  - Maximize research missions in low Earth orbit with commercial potential - Help industry mature technical and operational capabilities - A future where NASA becomes one of many customers for commercial stations    America will work with industry and our international partners to ignite a sustainable orbital economy. We will never surrender our presence in low Earth orbit.

Okay fund mars sample return too, the perseverance rover has samples waiting to be studied back on Earth. You literally abandoned one of the most ambitious and scientifically interesting projects you had conceived of, halfway.

NASA is advancing nuclear power and propulsion in space to accomplish President Trump’s national space objectives. With SR-1 Freedom, launching in 2028, we will demonstrate nuclear electric propulsion and deliver SkyFall helicopters to Mars. In collaboration with @Energy, these capabilities are key to future missions to Mars and beyond. A new chapter of deep space exploration begins. 🚀

#MeteorSighting: A fireball was observed by witnesses in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and the Canadian province of Ontario on the night of March 23. The meteor was first detected over the Michigan town of Hope. It traveled northeast and disintegrated above Saginaw Bay. At its peak, the fireball was 40 times brighter than the planet Venus. 🔗 go.nasa.gov/4bGgIhF Eyewitness accounts supplied by the American Meteor Society

Science and discovery will always be at the heart of NASA’s mission.  - The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will launch this year. - The nuclear-powered Dragonfly mission will explore Saturn’s moon Titan in 2028 in search of signs of life, with new missions to Venus to follow. - The lunar base will incorporate MoonFall hopper drones and all the science payloads the landers and rovers can integrate. - Several scientific payloads to Mars including Rosaland Franklin Rover, MTN and SR-1 Freedom delivering Skyfall. These missions will deliver the breakthroughs only NASA can achieve, inspire the next generation, and continue the greatest adventure in human history.

I'm happy to be outflanked/behind the curve. If Isaacman's schedule holds, NASA appears to be undertaking more #Mars exploration (with new rotorcraft:) over the next 2-4 years. Outstripping expectations can be a good thing🤨

NASA is focussing most of its resources on getting back to the moon. The agency could be accused of seeming a little obsessed with the place (not as if astronauts had visited the lunar surface no less than 6 times already)🙄
NASA@NASA

We'll host a live event Tuesday, March 24, at 9am ET (1300 UTC) to provide an update on implementation of the National Space Policy and preparation for returning to the Moon's surface by 2028. A press conference will follow. How to watch: go.nasa.gov/4bGQv2q
