I guess two layoffs in 22 years isn’t so bad..? But being on an employer-sponsored work visa makes it a bit more stressful to find a job within the next couple of months. Any leads will be helpful!

Had to cook a proper meal for the first voyage of this lovely (if i say so myself) pasta dish that I made. * Fresh Campanelle * Cambozola Triple Cream sauce * Charred then Carmelized Balsamic Red Onions * Seared Balsamic Crimini Legitimately turned out AMAZING

A lovely heaping bowl of Carbonara perfection. Plus a great bottle of wine. Was a wonderful last dinner to cap off our cabin trip. Guanciale + Pecorino Romano + Egg Yolk + Tagliatelle (usually use Bucatini but they were fresh out) + Pasta Water + S&P = Carbonara deliciousness

@kittypallas We are okay… sore, back & hips aren’t too hot and Megan has a bruised arm/shoulder… but otherwise we are okay thankfully. Were able to make it to our cabin since I was right down the st from mum’s & she lent us her ride for the week so we could 💚. So just trying to relax now!

Yesterday was my first day of vacation. Started out no more than 45 seconds on the road before being rammed head on by an uninsured driver while I was stopped at an intersection. Completely totaling their car & mine being iffy. Rocking some soreness but thankfully we are fine.

12 hours later, Tonkotsu Ramen Broth is a success (I think, final judgement to come). Now the Dashi and Tare. Then tonight we Ramen!

Hadn’t thrown for a few weeks and was feeling rusty. Just playing with some cup shapes to try to get back into the groove.
