The Telegraph have now also reported that Baroness Harriet Harman has been accused of offering a peerage to Arooj Shah, the recently ousted leader of Oldham Council. The accusation is accurate. Jailing Lucy Connolly and Tearing Her Away from Her Family They imprisoned mum and childminder Lucy Connolly for 31 months over one social media post after Southport. She has been separated from her young children in what many see as classic two-tier justice – far harsher than sentences in similar cases. Free speech and fairness suffered. 3. That First Budget He Signed Off Starmer backed Rachel Reeves’ October 2024 Budget, which included big tax rises (especially employer National Insurance) and painful cuts like scrapping winter fuel payments for millions of pensioners.
