@Jihoz_Axie Where does the move to a L2 leaves $RON? It feels like the move takes away the core utility of the token, but my ignorance might just be getting in the way and obstruct the view. Would love for somebody to pitch me what the purpose for $RON will be going forward.

L2s still make sense for gaming. In the early days of Axie, the main reason we needed to migrate off mainnet was due to complexity of the logic behind breeding transactions. So while ETH transfers were less than 10 cents at the time, breeding transactions often cost 3-5 dollars. This was when Axies were about 10 to 20 cents each so breeding was pretty difficult at the time. Gaming has way more complex and data heavy transaction logic than payments and pure money transfers.
