I’m absolutely backing @NE_Museums in their bid to bring a rare flag flown at the Battle of Trafalgar by North East hero, Admiral Collingwood to the region. The statue of Collingwood towering over the mouth of the Tyne is one of our best-loved local landmarks, so it is exciting to think that an important piece of our history may soon be coming home to the North East where it belongs. If the bid is successful, the flag will be on display at @Discovery_Mus in Newcastle, where everyone can come see it.
