Michelle Obama is a Princeton and Harvard graduate, a two-time Grammy Award winner, an accomplished lawyer who has worked in both the public and nonprofit sectors, an internationally recognized advocate, a co-founder of a media production company, a record-breaking author, and the former First Lady of the United States.
The demonization of Black women remains one of America's most tolerated forms of public disrespect. But that does not change the grace and legacy of First Lady Michelle Obama.
The Trump White House has rarely appeared less dignified than platforming this vitriol and allowing it to stand unchallenged. The racist and sexist comment made about Michelle Obama was not accidental. Trump and his allies have time and again targeted the Obamas with this type of rhetoric, reinforcing racist stereotypes for political gain. The smear says far more about those promoting it than it does about Michelle Obama.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost
UFC fighter Josh Hokit used a post-bout interview at the White House to disparage former first lady Michelle Obama. He insulted the mother of one of his rivals, thanked Jesus and ended by shouting: “And lastly — Michelle Obama is a man! Am I right, America?” wapo.st/4a0Ck8H

This administration is giving away $300 billion to Iran to end a war of choice that has undermined our national security and driven up costs.
That money should be used to address challenges Floridians are facing, such as the skyrocketing cost of home ownership, rent, groceries, utilities, and health care.
By voting for this war eight times and refusing to stand up to this administration, Ashley Moody has utterly failed to deliver for the people of Florida.

Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us. They have not found a crime - they are simply trying to find one.
He isn't coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President.
He hates that I consistently call him out. He is simply the most corrupt President in American history.
We have nothing to hide.
Mr. President, come after me. I am not going anywhere.
The country is watching.

Pete Hegseth fired her. Now she's running for Congress.
Nancy Lacore, a retired three-star Navy vice admiral, has advanced to a June 23 Democratic primary runoff in South Carolina's 1st District - the House seat Rep. Nancy Mace is vacating to run for governor. Lacore was abruptly dismissed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last August, part of a wave of senior military removals on Aug. 22, 2025. She has called her firing "without cause."
To be clear about where this stands: Lacore hasn't won anything yet. She's headed to a runoff against attorney Mac Deford on June 23 to decide who becomes the Democratic nominee. The winner of that contest moves on to November for a long-shot run at the seat - which the Cook Political Report rates as solidly Republican.
But the storyline writing itself is hard to miss. A career officer pushed out by the sitting Defense Secretary is now asking voters to send her to Washington, where she'd have a say over the very Pentagon that showed her the door.
Her campaign leans directly into that history - framing the dismissal as exactly the kind of accountability gap she wants to challenge from inside Congress. Mace, meanwhile, is stepping up to a statewide race, leaving one of the most Republican-leaning seats in the state suddenly without an incumbent.
It's an uphill climb in a district drawn to stay red. But a fired admiral on the ballot is the kind of race that makes people pay attention.

BREAKING: MAGA Senator Susan Collins shoots her campaign in the foot by admitting ON CAMERA that she does "not regret" voting for Brett Kavanaugh even though he overturned Roe v. Wade.
This is a godsend for Graham Platner...
"This is the first re-election campaign that you've run since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and I was hoping you could talk to me a little bit about your vote to confirm Kavanaugh and whether you regret that," a reporter asked the senator.
"I do not regret that vote," Collins replied in a shaking voice. "I do disagree with Justice Kavanaugh's vote. I would point out that in that decision, several Supreme Court justices whom I supported voted the other way. That includes Justice Sotomayor, Justice Elena Kagan, Justice Jackson. So I have supported a great number of Supreme Court justices."
Sorry senator, but you don't get partial credit!
Collins is directly responsible for women all across this country having their reproductive rights stripped away by a fascist movement that aims to ultimately institute a Christian Nationalist theocracy. She knew that Kavanaugh was a credibly accused rapist who despises women. She didn't care. She wanted to support Trump's pick — which is why her constant attempts to characterize herself as a moderate are so insulting. She would quibble with us labeling her "MAGA" but when she votes with this President every time it actually matters, the shoe fits.
"When I look at a justice, I look at their qualifications, their integrity, their background, their experience, and reaching a decision," Collins continued.
Again, Kavanaugh was accused by multiple women of sexual conduct. One struggles to imagine someone with less "integrity."
"Obviously, I'm disappointed in that decision, which turned abortion issues back to the states. It has not had an impact on the state of Maine in that Maine actually expanded its law," Collins concluded.
Translation: women in other states can kick rocks. Collins's vote impacted countless women in awful, life-altering ways but because those women don't live in Maine, she couldn't care less. This callousness bordering on sociopathy.
Contrast her refusal to accept responsibility and admit she was wrong with Graham Platner's messaging. He has publicly apologized for the times in the past when he has missed the mark, demonstrating an admirable ability for growth and self-ownership. He is the vastly superior choice!
Please ❤️ and share if you'd gladly vote for Graham Platner!

Sen. @brianschatz: If this deal is so good, why can't the public see it? Donald Trump hasn't made anything materially better. 13 service members dead. 3,000 Iranians killed, billions of dollars, maybe hundreds of billions of dollars in 3 months, and prices spiked everywhere. There is a reason they are not publishing this deal and it's because it makes plain that this is one of the biggest foreign policy blunders in many generations.

NEW: Reuters reports that a $300 billion private investment fund is part of the U.S.-Iran framework deal, with more than half already committed.
The fund is designed to encourage a final agreement and would channel hundreds of billions of dollars in private investment into Iran. Financing is expected from companies in the U.S., Gulf states, Asia, South America and Africa.
The money could be used through loans, credit lines and direct investment to rebuild war damaged infrastructure in Iran, including steel plants, refineries, airports and other key assets.
So after a costly war, Iran is set to emerge richer, stronger and more influential. A total disaster
