@SoftwareEUG @p_m_robinson Yes. Atheism is for self authority to be the determiner of moral reason. That’s why God’s word says: the fool says in his heart there is no God. It’s referring to the moral fool - I.e. he who determines his own morality.

@p_m_robinson I wish someone touting "design" would finally own up to the fact the designers needn't be the creators who needn't fully understand the design and God need only be a powerful meddler with humans. Everything else is derived from the need for authority to defeat moral reason.

In 2021 our portfolio company Fridge No More raised $19M and opened 49 stores in NYC, employed 300 people and was able to deliver goods to your door in under 15 minutes, paying above minimum wage to couriers (they were actually so happy with their jobs they offered to work for free when the company couldn’t get funding). Unlike Mamdani’s store they had to pay rent and taxes. This is $387K per store including all the R&D, CapEX, and a central processing facility. Somehow when a socialist politician is trying to do that it’s 100x more and takes 3 years. Remember my words it will not end at $30M. Very soon they’ll ask for more.

Over 100 years ago, G.K. Chesterton diagnosed the fatal flaw of the modern mind: "The madman is not the man who has lost his reason. The madman is the man who has lost everything except his reason." — Orthodoxy Logic untethered from imagination, wonder, and revelation inevitably collapses into madness. The rationalist can "prove" his way into almost anything, no matter how absurd. A narrow circle of logic, no matter how complete it appears, remains closed. Reason only flourishes within a larger vision, one that is able to embrace paradox and mystery. Chesterton's simple but unfashionable idea is that Christian belief does not crush reason or the imagination, but keeps them alive and connected. You were given a mind that is capable of both reason and imaginative creativity — and both are essential to keep it working.

Normalizing a false definition of marriage harms children. These men "married" in 2020. They wanted to have children so they hired surrogate after surrogate. Six children lost their lives before their $500,000 attempt to make a motherless child succeeded. Twins were finally born, nine weeks early as is typical with #BigFertility pregnancies. The babies are now three years old but haven't spoken a word. Maybe because of preemie developmental delays. Maybe because the nanny they employ so the men can support a lavish lifestyle unsurprisingly cannot make up for the developmental benefits a full-time mother. Their attempt to replicate what nature prohibits has come at a cost—paid by children, both living and dead. Gay marriage looks like adult equality, but it's actually child victimization.
