As we enter the last month of 2018, our team is already eager to start a new field season in beautiful #Newfoundland! Here is one of our highlights for summer 2018 with over a 100 humpback whales and thousands of seabirds feeding on capelin near our study sites off the NE coast!

If you see capelin rolling, don’t forget to submit the observation to ecapelin.ca & post on social media using #capelinroll2024. To submit, you will need a photo, location, date/time, & comments. These observations support long-term research on this critical species!

Capelin season is coming! Make sure to keep an eye out for signs they have visited a beach near you in #Newfoundland including rolling fish, dead capelin & eggs. Report any observations to ecapelin.ca or post to social media using #ecapelin and #CapelinRoll2024
