World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is marked each year on March 21, beginning in 2006. The 21st day of March (the 3rd month of the year) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.

We feel privileged to provide support through @DeborahFdn to improve the lives of Ethiopian🇪🇹 children with special needs.

March 21 is a global Down Syndrome awareness day and this year's theme is “What Does Inclusion Mean?”. In Ethiopia, our foundation will celebrate this day by hosting the 2nd “March with Deborah” event that will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022. #Ethiopia #DownSyndrome

The @PakinEthiopia facilitated an #MoU b/n @KDSProgram & @DeborahFdn to promote cooperation in capacity building for the welfare and management of "#downsyndrome" individuals. Amb. @syedshozab & Mr. Abadulla Gemede, President of Deborah Foundation were present at the occasion.

Our foundation held its 3rd parent information session on Saturday, July 10th. We were delighted to have had a diverse group of children and families join us as we provided professional guidance and information on Down Syndrome and other Intellectual disabilities.

Deborah Foundation supports the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, and we are excited about the bright future it will create for our children. We are also delighted to witness the unity and happiness it initiated among our people. #GERD #Ethiopia

Our Foundation received a generous donation of face masks from DMAS for our two year anniversary. Our staff is truly grateful for such a thoughtful donation.
