See, I don’t want social media matters to reach the police unless it directly threatens the sovereignty of the country or is clearly anti-Hindu. I’ve always believed personal issues should be settled here itself. Despite repeated suggestions from some people, I’ve mostly avoided going to the police/suggested them not to do. (I did it only once, when I was getting threats due to morphed images after that, later the person left social media). Otherwise, I’ve never gone after anyone, not even from the other side, just for personal attacks against me or people from my side... It’s not that I agree with everything BJP does. I disagree at times, but I believe in the larger picture. Also, I have internal platforms to express my views, so I avoid posting such disagreements publicly. At the same time, I never attack those who choose to speak on such issues, I just maintain silence.. Whenever I speak to RW people who keep speaking against BJP, I tell them clearly: I’m your voice within the system. Don’t force me to take your line publicly. Let me stay within the system so that when needed, I can help and I have helped. It's because I always believed they are our own, considering they're fighting against Jihadis (not anymore). In the past few months, this particular group has made several serious mistakes, enough to invite legal action. Still, internally I’ve always defended them, saying let them speak, don’t take social media outrage personally. But now they’ve crossed a line. Threatening a kid and using Congress-backed police for what? For exposing their inclination towards alliances with Jihadis and even Pakistan? So the question is simple, if you want to play this game, shouldn’t you be ready for the same? If you have influence in a few Congress-ruled states, do you think the other side doesn’t? Power exists on both sides. And what happened to all the freedom of expression talk? Just a few days back, you were defending some LW Clowns, saying account bans were wrong. Personally, I still don’t want this side to go that way. It’s not right. But if this continues, people on this side will also be pushed to respond in the same manner...
