Death Sentence Issued for a Kurdish Citizen on Charges of “Moharebeh”
Mohsen Eslamkhah, a 20-year-old from Bukan, Rojhelat, has been sentenced to death by Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad on charges of “moharebeh” (enmity against God).
According to reports, he was identified by security forces during the “ّWomen, Life, Freedom” protests in 2022, when he was 17 years old. After returning to Iran in August 2025, he was arrested. It is reported that he was subjected to pressure and torture during his detention in Urmia in order to extract forced confessions.
According to informed sources, he was under 18 at the time of the alleged offenses.
.@rahimrashidi "Mr. President, what was your reaction when you learned that Kurdistan region had resumed exporting oil to the international market with your support as United States of America? "
@POTUS "Well, I expected that, we've gotten along with the Kurds for a long time"
US President Trump:
“We sent some guns, but the group that was supposed to give them, which I said would happen to my people, I said it, I called it exactly. We sent guns, a lot of guns. They were supposed to go to the people so they could fight back against these thugs. You know what happened? The people that they sent them to kept them. Because they said, ‘what a beautiful gun, I think I’ll keep it.’ So I’m very upset with a certain group of people and they’re going to pay a big price for that.”
In contradiction to yesterday’s report by Fox News: Trump did not name the Kurds.
In addition to that, the Kurdish factions have all explicitly stated that they did not receive any kind of arms or similar.
However the wording and framing clearly implies that he is talking about us Kurds.
As I explained yesterday it is very unrealistic to think that Kurds could supply meaningful amounts of weapons to *protestors* outside of Rojhelat.
Seems like Kurds have become, yet again, Trumps scapegoat.

Spring rains have breathed new life into Lake Urmia—
so much so that boats are once again moving across its waters
Recent spring rains have boosted water levels in Lake Urmia, allowing small motorboats to operate again in some areas. While conditions have improved, officials say the lake has not yet fully recovered.
Execution of Ali Fahim; Continued Executions of Protesters in Iran
Ali (Arian) Fahim, one of the detainees from the January protests, was executed early this morning.
According to sources close to his family, his death sentence was issued without access to a chosen lawyer by a court led by Judge Salavati, and no official details about the case have been published.
His name had already appeared on a warning list by Amnesty International (@amnesty).
He was the fourth defendant in the “Nezamabad youth” case. Before him, Mohammadamin Biglari, Amirhossein Hatami, and Shahin Vahedparast were also executed in a similar process without fair trial rights.
