you're incorrect. While yes a fast lane isn't technically real the left lane is a passing lane meant to be used to pass. Thats the law everywhere, as long as you're passing you can be in that lane. IF the trucker is maintaining the speed limit and not driving under that limit in any of the lanes, then the driver “break checking” him is commuting a road violation if not an actual crime. There is no such thing as a “fast lane.” It’s an old fallacy. People may believe there is such a thing but no one could ever get away legally with such an argument. As long as a driver is maintaining the legally posted speed limit and not holding up traffic by driving carelessly or below the posted speed limit, then they are not legally subject any adverse treatment by other drivers or police. I used to have a bumper sticker that read: “Your Rush Is Not My Hurry!” then I got a much nicer car and stopped using bumper stickers. Yet, I still feel this way when driving. As long as I AM DRIVING LEGAL, I couldn’t give a shit what other drivers think or need. If you drive up on me and ride my bumper while I am driving the max speed limit, then you can either going around OR SLOW THE FUCK DOWN. If you swerve around me and try this “break check” crap on me while I’m driving legal, then I’ll call the popo and upload the video to the police and get YOU cited. or worse.

@i11umin8ed @ClownWorld The gas fills the entire space of the hose at all times so there isn't vapor in the hose

It's slowly filling into the hose. They don't measure gas at the tip of the nozzle, they measure at the pump. The nozzles also are not air tight, so as gas vapors escape it gives it more room for gas to fit into the hose. A lot of people leave gas in the hose that they paid for because they don't realize this.

@i11umin8ed @ClownWorld Also no vapors don't just leak out the nozzle. Gas pumps don't have the same type of vapor system you're talking about anymore. All states besides I think oregon have decommissioned the vapor recovery systems in dispensers as your car does that shit automatically.

@i11umin8ed @ClownWorld it could have a bad valve that isn't holding causing fuel to drain and spin the meter but that should throw a code. The valve coil could also be messing up and sending wrong voltages tricking it to spin

@ClownWorld It's called "meter creep". It is not normal, it does mean there is a leak somewhere, and gas stations test for it and replace it when discovered.

@i11umin8ed @ClownWorld no it doesn't mean there's a leak. Meter creep is when the meter keeps slowly spinning even while you aren't squeezing the nozzle and then ticks the pulser to say gas got pumped. Thats an Encore 700/700s dispenser so they're using a C+ meter most likely it's just broken

Meter creep is when the meter that spins the fuel through the pump keeps slowly spinning even while the handle isn't being squeezed. Usually from a gasket going bad or something failing inside the meter. This slow spin ticks a pulser that 1/2
