Derek, with respect, I was there, you were not. And there have been other cases in my direct experience only, let alone all the other cops. I am not going to argue the toss about how killing people with cars is the best way to do it. It is a settled issue to such an extent it has become a meme.

@cynicalbobby Each case surely has to be considered on its specific circumstances? 20 or so members of the public killed by 'blue light' vehicles every year (and officers themselves) simply can't be treated as 'collateral damage'?

He shouldn't have been jailed. This is morally wrong. I've seen people deliberately drive dangerously for no good reason and wipe out entire families and still avoid jail. And he still has misconduct proceedings in progress as well for the same incident. We let GBH machete gangsters walk free and jail distinguished police for mistakes for which they've been forgiven!

@YesterdaysBrit1 Punching women in the face you say? "In the 1970s, UK domestic violence was a severely underreported, "hidden" crime, with assault on wives estimated to comprise 25% of all violent crime in areas like Glasgow and Edinburgh, according to Dobash & Dobash 1979 studies."

Yesterday's Britain, A Better Britain.
Wonderful times for all involved. No-one waving a machete, no-one brandishing a knife. No-one punching women in the face, no-one on the rampage. That's the Britain that needs to return!

In the 1980s, Britain had over 300,000 frontline troops. Today? Around 185,000. Meanwhile, the civil service has ballooned to over 500,000. We now have nearly 3x more bureaucrats than frontline soldiers. That’s not a serious country. That’s a state wildly out of balance.

Totally agree. Taxpayers shouldn’t be funding four-day weeks, higher benefit handouts or the scrapping of the two-child benefit cap. It seems only the Conservatives are prepared to get a grip of the important issues. Labour and Reform won’t.
Kemi Badenoch@KemiBadenoch

A council job with a four-day working week for five days’ pay. Nice if you can get it. Not so nice when taxpayers are paying the bill. We deserve full-time services for full-time pay. The @Conservatives will ban this ridiculous policy and get Britain working again.

An English gentleman who lived through WW2 offers his dismay over the changing of a country that he thought he'd fought and nearly died for. I wonder what he'd have to say today? What a waste.

I went to Trafford Centre on Sat night. Every other person was a Mooslim. If you think that is right, there is something wrong with you. None of them spoke English, they all had prams, not one shopping bag between them.

I firmly believe the worst is yet to come: All the invaders are fed, watered, clothed, & each mobile given has 1 programmed number installed! & these fuckers are waiting for that number to call, WHEN it does, we'll be in the fight of our lives, only these cunts will be armed 👈🏻🙄

If every Restore member delivered just 232 leaflets we could deliver to every household in the country. 29,000,000 Households 125,000 members = 232 leaflets per member This might take only 2.5 hours. 4 or 5 streets each. Easy.

I’ve spent a lot of time recently in Northern Ireland, and the patriotism here is something else. Watching the bands today of the apprentice boys in Ballymoney was incredibly moving, every beat of the drum carried pride, passion, and a deep sense of loyalty. Loyalty to their culture, their heritage, their history, and to this great land. You can feel it in the atmosphere, in the people, in the way they stand and represent who they are. It makes you think… England could learn a lot from the men and women of Ulster.

@angloid0 My great uncle, a King's Own Scottish Borderer was killed during the Tirah Expedition of 1897, not defending British women and children, but fighting tribal warriors in a valley in modern-day Pakistan.

I don't care if I get called racist for wanting millions gone. Those men who fought and died for Britain in the past did not fight for their descendants to become a minority in their own country.

‘Tools of hate’ That’s what they’re calling our flags. The same flags that lead us into war, and are wrapped around those who never return. Our flags represent unity, courage, sacrifice, endurance, resilience, determination, hope and pride. Our flags represent the ‘Dunkirk Spirit’ In 1940, during the Second World War, between 350,000 – 400,000 British and Allied soldiers were trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk, surrounded by German forces. It was feared that the British Army would be destroyed. Britain launched ‘Operation Dynamo’, but the navy couldn’t get their huge warships close enough to the beaches, so they asked for help, hundreds of people offered up their boats, and for 9 days, while bombs fell all around them, fishing boats, life boats, yachts and navy warships evacuated the men, saving over 338,000 lives. Many of the surviving soldiers were shamed by their defeat, they expected to be met with silence, they expected to be shunned, but that’s not what happened. As they approached the white cliffs of Dover, they saw their flag. They saw thousands of flags. The country had gathered there, to welcome their heroes home. #screwyoustarmer
