This step came amid a rise in student protests linked to the war on Gaza strip, while human rights organizations considered the monitoring of students’ digital activity to be a violation of privacy and a threat to freedom of expression.

Iran was illegally attacked by the US and Israel. Its counter-measures, including its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, are defensive. Any attempt to force open the Strait by military means would be an act of aggression, aligned with the original US and Israeli war crime.
