So, I've talked before about creating cartoon series like X-Men. I also wanted to try creating something like the early 90s Zelda cartoon. We were thinking it would be $1,000,000+. I was wondering how close I could get using A.I. for $35 on Higgsfield in youtu.be/0nBSJz2lsIQ

Any recommendations for a platform that generates about 1 minute of video per day in terms of cost per minute etc -- style is 90s cartoon and it would be nice if voiceovers can be done in platform?

So, today I used chatgpt to create an NES rom (gray screen only) using asm6. I tried using ca65/cc65 first, but never got it working for some reason. Will probably pick ca65 up again after the Pikuma course. I probably spent more time training the AI than anything else ...

@0xTommyGenesis Right. I've been in and out of it (ChatGPT) throughout the day and thinking about how to go from prompt to finished product. #nesdev is more limited in dev information, so I often go to C64 tutorials to get ideas. More than anything I'm surprised the AI can do something so niche.

@DevCartMagazine Absolutely could be done. But I'm finding that the larger the codebase gets, the more chaotic, more mistakes, etc. Might be that I'm "using it wrong". Currently I'm at 22 asm files and 12k lines of nes code. Plus python scripts for tile/sprite building, and level mapping.

Completely insane what can be done in a short time. Here is a dev demo of a game with title macro, multiple playable characters with unique attributes, scrolling levels, coins, tracked level completion for each character, animated level exit doors, and more. #nesdev #claude $RSUP

About a year ago I tried to vibe code a simple snake game in a modern language, and it was nothing but problems. Today, I vibe coded an entire NES homebrew game in 6502 assembly, in just a few hours.

@0xTommyGenesis I just opened chatGPT and asked it to create some code snippets for an NES game, but actually, it was able to create a whole top-down game, even for NESASM (didn't ask it to create BG graphics). Didn't realize how far and how fast this was all going ... 💡💡💡

I just saw this thing on Youtube (minimalism) about using a projector as a tv screen / monitor for a potentially huge screen. I'm wondering why I didn't think of this before. Anybody doing this?

@matthughson Oh, I think the discussions were about getting more sprites on screen by displaying specified sprites every other frame, not reducing the screen flickering.
