Rape is a crime.
Making a false accusation is a crime.
Don't conflate issues. False accusations form less than 10% of all accusations.

@la_mwansa While that is recognised, the impact of a normal "false police report" and a "False rape claim" are 2 different thing because one has an everlasting impact. Again the law is much needed. But all loop holes were supposed to be addressed by it.

I’ve seen rapists skip court after getting police bond, and the courts giving them the benefit of the doubt. Only for cases to be endlessly adjourned, by months until it turns into years, with no justice for victims. Maybe keeping them in custody will finally speed up cases.
