We stand with our allies @HousingRightsCA, @DJNO, @DisabilityPM, @RTRCoalition & countless others condemning the @fordnation govt's use of the #NotWithstandingClause to strip away human rights of our province's most vulnerable residents!
What we need first is #AffordableHousing!

We are deeply concerned by the Government of Ontario's potential use of the "notwithstanding clause" to evict encampment residents and bypass their protected human rights. These residents are some of the most marginalized people in our society, and this action by the Ontario government would make their already dire predicament worse. We're joining a growing group of over 70 Ontario Councillors, hundreds of members of the legal community, and thousands of members of the public in calling on ALL of our governments to focus their efforts on finding solutions that meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness, while respecting their rights and dignity - NOT denying them through the notwithstanding clause. UPDATE: The Disability Divest demand letter has been signed by over 600 individuals and endorsed by 39 groups/organizations. We demand that the disability establishment end its relationships with war profiteers.

Last week, the DJNO team came together for Toronto Disability Pride March (@DisabilityPM)! It was great to be together with our community for a march that defies the tropes of corporate Disability inclusion, stands strong for Palestine & for actual Disability Justice principles.
