i speak my depths, then set the edge; to break the weak, to test the pledge; who runs from truth will never see; who drinks my dark can walk with me. the cage he loves is called “to be.” the mask talks back, the self agrees; we forge our chains and call them keys. time kneels to will, but will to need; choose vow, not wish; let being bleed.

father miguel buried three parishioners in one week. drought year. two of them had nothing. the third had a small plot of land his grandfather had worked for forty years and left to him like a promise. the bank took it eight months before he died. the paperwork was clean. the diocese sent a letter about unpaid tithes the same thursday. miguel read it twice. folded it. placed it under the bible where he kept things he couldn't say from the pulpit without losing the only thing he had left to lose. he had given forty years to an institution that didn't own him but knew exactly what he couldn't afford to walk away from. the faith was real. the structure around it was something else entirely. two things can be true. he had learned that early and spent the rest of his life trying to hold both without dropping either. the land behind the church was sold to a developer in 1987. the congregation was told it went to missions. nobody asked which ones. the church handed god to the poor and kept the land. the state handed rights to the poor and kept the mechanisms. the method never changed. not once. not in a thousand years of different uniforms and updated paperwork and new words for the same arrangement. father miguel understood this the way men understand things they arrived at too late to act on. the knowing sits different when there's no runway left. he gave the sermon anyway. the pews were half empty. he spoke to the ones who came. what else was there...

the confusion clears up the second you stop calling it wealth accumulation. it's architecture. the ability to build the world in your image. money at that scale stops being currency. it becomes physics , the capacity to make things happen at a distance, without asking, without negotiating, without anyone's permission. that's what they're buying. the end of permission...

Many people struggle to understand why billionaires want more money But it's not about money, if they wanted money they would have stopped at $100-200m It's about control and power, they want to control everything and have power over everyone So they will never be rich enough

Nobody talks about how hard it is being the first to do something when you have no good examples in your life. No blueprint just trials and error.

when kafka said “all the love in the world is useless when there is total lack of understanding” and when richard siken said “if you love me, you don’t love me in a way I understand” and george orwell wrote “perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood.”

The source of all chaos comes from people who always chase uncertainty, who are undisciplined, and who are fed by drama. They thrive on instability and waste the time of everyone around them. Never get close to them, because they will only drag you down.

Friends, if you're familiar with my work, you know what I try to do every day in these spaces. My doctors tell me I'm on the edge of mental and physical exhaustion, so I have to rest. I have my son, my faith, my poetry, and my belief in you. I'll return soon. xo

rafael was nine when he started asking the wrong questions. not wrong in the way that gets you sent to the principal. wrong in the way that makes a teacher's jaw tighten before she smiles. wrong in the way that gets you quietly moved to the back of the room and kept busy with worksheets while the rest of the class moves forward. by twelve he'd learned the translation. curiosity was acceptable. dissent was not. the difference between them was whether the answer was already known by the person asking. he got good grades after that. stopped asking. started producing. they don't imprison the body until the mind refuses the cage it was born into. rafael's mind stopped refusing somewhere between the third worksheet and the first gold star. cheaper than a cell. cleaner than force. he's thirty one now. works in compliance. the job title was never the joke. it was always the punchline...

she didn't decide to stop questioning things. life just got full enough that the questions stopped fitting. mortgage. school run. the job that wasn't the plan but became the plan because the plan didn't have health insurance. every year the list of things she couldn't afford to disrupt got longer. and after a while, the list started to feel like a personality. compliance looks like common sense from the inside. the people who designed the schedule, the loan structure, the 90-day probation period , they don't clock in. they don't need to. they built something that runs on other people's need for stability and called it an economy. she's not angry, and they don't need her angry. they just need her tired. on a thursday she looked at her life and recognised it. not as failure. as architecture. something built around her so gradually she'd mistaken the walls for her own decisions. the question formed eleven years late. she asked it anyway...
