Peter Dutton has launched the Coalition's election bid in the crucial Victorian seat of Chisholm, which it lost at the last election.
Dutton's Chisholm Liberal candidate @DocKatieAllen joins us to tell us how it went.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to be the Liberal Party’s candidate for Chisholm at the next election.
A lot of hard work is required, and I know it’s a big hill to climb, but together we can deliver a strong Liberal voice for our community.
I look forward to continuing to support the Liberal Party and its candidates going into the next election. We need a change in government to get Australia back on track.
While Higgins will no longer be an electoral division at the next election I will still keep fighting to help residents and to promote Liberal values.
I know there is a strong Liberal heart that will keep beating locally.
Obviously we are disappointed with the decision to abolish Higgins, but we thank everybody who participated in the redistribution process.
I have spent the last 5 months listening to residents, and hearing their concerns about Labor’s cost of living crisis.
