Game #1: Flappy Llama This is my first time experimenting with Scene Graph, and I absolutely love it. I can just drop down as many Flappy Llama machines as I want, and each one works as its own fully independent arcade game. @FNCreate #UEFN #Verse @TimSweeneyEpic - 100% Verse UI built with Material Blocks and parameter control - Local sound effects play directly from each machine (idle SFX or gameplay triggers) - Dynamically updating leaderboard - Machine animates on player input so others see it in use (including the screen showing it’s occupied) I’m not great with materials, so huge shoutout to @ImBlanky for setting me up with a simple material that had the parameters I needed to make the game work (and for helping me figure out how to decorate my fun little machine). Game #2 will be shown soon, it just needs a few final touch-ups, but I love it just as much. (here's your hint 💣🧹)

I don’t disagree, but to be fair, in sports, players and coaches aren’t treated the same at all. Players are tied to contracts and often sometimes a salary cap, which makes them expensive and difficult to replace. Coaches, on the other hand, aren’t capped and can usually be replaced much more easily. Because of that, teams fire coaches more often not necessarily because leadership is always the problem, but because it’s the fastest and least disruptive change they can make. It’s also worth noting that coaches aren’t even the true “top” leadership in most cases. Teams are owned by ownership groups, and a lot of major decisions come from the front office. So firing a coach isn’t the same as replacing the people actually in control. It’s more like changing middle management than ownership.

Maybe it's just me, but if a company is not doing well, and it's clearly a decision-making problem, would you not first replace the leadership and not the artists and engineers? I mean, if a sports team is losing a lot in a row, you get rid of the head coach, not of all the players? No?

Built this open-source tool to be able to build in UEFN using plain speech. "Color that chair red" "Make a circle of plants" etc. still plenty of work to do but it's been a lot of fun to work on. Huge thanks to @FNCreate for enabling the python integration, it's an absolute game changer. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else builds with it. Repo link ⬇️

After a discussion with @giovauefn and @K1K000ZL I investigated the volume in metasounds and it doesn't change. We can change the audio level in audio player devices and sound cues with modulate but it's blocked in MetaSounds. Really hoping we can get it changed. #UEFN

@CodeD3V Just appeal your rejection. The rule clearly states don't provide other chat methods *like* custom keyboards. Doesn't say don't include custom keyboards. Just can't be used in anyway to communicate or be seen by other players. The moderations are just bots for rejecting it

Now if they had just said your list of words is the problem very vaguely (would not have liked this either but still), I could have went through everything again and double checked and maybe nailed it down better. But they specifically stated what words so I went through and removed those specific words. Why would I remove other words for the heck of it or think other words were even a problem.

I know I’ve been dragging a bit on getting these games out, but last night I finally submitted them to moderation to get it listed. Unfortunately, it got flagged because of the Wordle word list. With 14,600+ words, I was obviously bound to miss a few. I removed the flagged words and resubmitted, only to get flagged again for additional ones. That alone was frustrating, why not just surface all the problematic words in the first rejection? I fixed those, submitted again, and then got flagged a third time, which resulted in the entire project being locked. I’m already in contact with Epic to get access restored to resolve the flags, but I just needed to vent about how ridiculous that process feels. Yes, part of the blame is on me for not catching every single non-TOS word despite my best effort. That said, breaking violations into multiple rejections, causing repeated strikes, and then locking the project because of it is incredibly frustrating. Thankfully, I backed everything up on a test island, so I still have all the machines and full access to the different games. Still, it looks like I won’t be able to list them publicly until Epic helps resolve the issue.

Game #3: Fortle I think this remake is my favorite so far. The animations are just perfect. They really make the game feel alive. I wish I could animate the text. I thought about making the text part of the material, but I’m still a material noob. @FNCreate #UEFN #Verse @TimSweeneyEpic - 100% Verse UI built with Material Blocks and parameter control that animates the bounce on letter input, letter reveal, shake, and victory jump - Local sound effects play directly from each machine (idle SFX or gameplay triggers) - Career statistics board - 14,649 guessable words, 2,241 of which can be the answer. (filtered out profanity) Since some people have asked, I’ll release a public code after Game #5 is finished. (That doesn’t mean I’m stopping at just five.) All of these will be playable, I just don’t want to launch with only three games and have a total playtime of around ten minutes, which could hurt the game’s chances in Discover. Game #4 coming right up next week. Your hint: 🦖🛜

@TheBoyDilly @spankysully @FNCreate I mean in this case they did tell me, and some of the words were and are 100% valid and just mistakes on my end for slipping through. Just felt I was given a good enough reasons list rather than the full list of problems which led to repeat rejections and a take down.
