@badnewsbrian What a lot of these labels ask for from A&R’s is not the same as what it was. They’re asking them to find high statistics instead of high talent. CEO’s don’t let these A&R’s fail the same, they sign a flop, they lose power.. they end up just getting assigned to artist

The funniest part of the "we need real A&Rs" complaint attached to this 'rap is stagnant' story is that half the people saying it are A&Rs. Dude, you are the help you've been waiting for. The job description hasn't changed. Nobody is stopping you. Go sign someone and do the work.

Everything is too algorithmic.. everyone that likes the album will see people liking it.. everyone that hates it will see people hating it.
