@Bob_bradQual @s_stan1 @HumanistQuaker Quite - there are many religious people who lay claim to the historic meaning. In modern times it's rather been annexed by those who really should describe themselves as 'secular humanists'.

@s_stan1 @HumanistQuaker Humanist doesn’t mean atheist. It was used to describe 16th century Renaissance thinkers. Paul 6 tried to reclaim it as a Christian characteristic, Julius Nyerere (a pro-life Catholic, and socialist) described himself as a humanist.

After a few conversations this week, I find myself wondering (and trying to Google) if it is actually some sort of offense to pretend to be an ordained minister if you aren't? Anyone know? I'm thinking in particular of the Anglican context here.

@brexitblog_info The 'unthinking sheep' will no doubt vote as they did last time when the vote was gerrymandered to exclude those with knowledge and experience of the benefits of EU membership. Now the majority know what Brexit has done.
