@Thewhitesmoke Quality issue. I broke two 3/8" Grade 70 Transport Chains using ratchet binders by hand only. I was new and asked a room filled with steel haulers, "Ever break a chain while binding up?" "No. Not while chaining." There's a definite lack of quality issue with Chinese chain.

We had six fatal load securement expert witness litigation cases just in quarter one 2025. People will argue that we have the worst drivers on the road but then they'll argue that we shouldn't load securement endorsement or open deck endorsement. 100% why we need open deck endorsement right here. Cargo securement violations are consistently Top 10–Top 15 violations in roadside inspections. Companies give driver's keys and just tell them to go get it It's insane.

@Watchman_motto Well @Watchman_motto I happen to be a late boomer. If I learned anything during the "Pandemic" charade it is this; The good Lord will take me whenever he chooses and I will submit. Had enough. Lived plenty and will indeed miss things, but I won't know or care. Memento Mori.

We built an in-laws house on our property in the woods behind the barn. Very similar to the one pictured. My parents live there currently. I have some thoughts. It’s very difficult to handle elderly parents. Especially those of the boomer generation. Of course all of us have to handle the concept of our own death and nobody wants to die. I think boomers are especially avoidant of this topic and from my experience will do anything to avoid even acknowledging that they will someday pass away. But you really don’t have a lot of options for when your parents are old. Do you put them in a home? That’s mad expensive and those places are miserable. Do you let them wither away in their own home - in my case a 1hr commute? How does that work when they need help? If you have the means, I think this kind of thing is the best option. They get To live somewhere rent free which helps with their finances. You’re close by if they need help. And the grandkids can visit as often as they want. All other struggles aside.

Mark Carney and our new Liberal government are investing to build, defend, and transform Canada’s North. We’re moving Canada from reliance to resilience and unleashing our full economic potential — from coast to coast to coast.

Canada is a proud, bilingual nation. Our history and culture is shaped by the French language and the millions of Canadians who speak it every day. La Francophonie is a pillar of our national identity — one to be protected and celebrated across Canada.

@slk55again On the contrary. As Canada has no strategic reserve to release this means we have a nearly infinite strategic reserve of nothing at all. The best part is that it is "Free" and inexhaustible.

“Mark Carney claims Canada will “release more oil” to help global supply. There’s just one problem: Canada doesn’t even have a strategic oil reserve. You can’t release stockpiles that don’t exist. And there’s still no pipeline to get it to market. The reality is Carney continues the same approach—keeping Trudeau’s anti-development laws, maintaining the industrial carbon tax, and failing to approve major energy projects. Canadians don’t need more illusions from the Liberals. We need real action to unlock our energy, support our allies, and strengthen our economy.”

Yod-He (Inhalación). Vav-He (Exhalación).

Premier Doug Ford removed Ontario MPP Goldie Ghamari (@gghamari) from the Conservative caucus because of her ongoing criticism of the Islamists and her association with those who thought the same way. This happened on June 28, 2024. Now, the US Department of Justice has revealed that the Islamists in Iran had a $250,000 contract out to have her killed. The killing was to have been done by the Jalisco Cartel. She was right. Doug Ford is a numpty.

Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms
Two courts have now firmly rebuked the former Trudeau government’s decision to invoke the Emergencies Act to shut down the peaceful Freedom Convoy. The specific grounds of appeal are not yet known, but it appears the Carney government will ask the Supreme Court of Canada to overturn the legal conclusions, or perhaps the factual findings, of two lower courts. That is no small task. On average, the Supreme Court of Canada refuses to hear more than 90 percent of the appeals brought before it. The federal government would need to persuade the Court that there is a lack of clarity in an important legal doctrine or principle. Rather than prolonging this legal battle, the Carney government should accept the clear rulings of the courts: the invocation of the Emergencies Act was unjustified and unlawful. It should apologize to the many Canadians whose bank accounts were frozen, whose property was seized, and whose peaceful protest was met with force. theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…
