Our team have been building a new 250m² practice putting green in front of the clubhouse at Eastwood Twelve. Challenging weather conditions have slowed progress at times, but the team have worked steadily through it and we are now close to completion.

Friday saw us travel to Easter Road & Barclays Hampden to work alongside the groundstaff and showcase both the POGO TurfPro Lite and Pogo Mini. Great to see the equipment in action & share practical insights with the teams on site. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👏🏼

Great to have John Guthrie join Greentech Sportsturf. He brings over 30 years of industry experience, most recently as Golf Course Manager at Duddingston Golf Club. John will be supporting clients across Fife, Dundee and Aberdeen and is already working on projects in his areas.

Greenkeepers across the UK are dealing with outbreaks of Microdochium patch after conditions created "the perfect storm", according to a leading expert. Microdochium Nivale, previously referred to as Fusarium, is a fungal disease that affects fine turf, particularly in mild, damp conditions. It weakens grass plants and leaves circular scars that can be unsightly while also impacting playability. While greenkeepers are well-versed in its management, this season's outbreaks have been so severe that even the most prepared courses have been affected to some extent. Spring maintenance has begun on course today. GKB sandfiller followed by sarel roll, drag, roll then final drag.

The start of the winter maintenance programme has begun. Work under way with greens drainage at 6th hole. Turf removed and trenching work will begin tomorrow.
