@allthingsf74065 Agreed because defending Taiwan from China is near impossible for the US.
English

@DuncsMans True but if I was Taiwan I would be cutting a deal and not with the US

I have never understood why some people praise this guy as some genius diplomat.

🤡Lavrov claimed that the West built the Berlin Wall In reality, the Wall was erected by the socialist authorities of East Germany — a Soviet satellite — to stop the mass exodus of people to the West.

@almavida453431 @McFaul I’m not worried about him living. I would prefer to see him pushing up daisies 😉

Kilmar Abrego Garcia's lawyer: We asked the ICE officer what the reason for his detention was. The ICE officer didn't answer. We asked the ICE officer which detention center he would be taken to. The ICE officer said that they weren't able to say. We asked the ICE officer for a copy of any paperwork that's being served on him today. The ICE officer wouldn't commit to even giving us that paperwork

@Raskolnikovpx4 @jillian0326 @TooWokeToWork @Newtlles Negotiated an unconditional surrender. Quite the negotiator.
You’re truly limited in your understanding of the words “unconditional surrender”. But whatever makes you feel good I guess 😂
English

@DuncsMans @jillian0326 @TooWokeToWork @Newtlles I guess you skipped over the beginning. I posted it again so you could reread it.

JD Vance: If you go back to WW2 or every major conflict in human history, they all ended with some kind of negotiation.

The Week Ahead
This week's economic calendar is a whirlwind of data releases, with some key players taking the spotlight. We'll be hearing from central bank officials, getting updates on inflation and housing, and keeping a close eye on retail sales.
Monday
The week starts with a focus on Europe and the US. Keep an eye on the German Ifo Business Climate and Belgian NBB Business Climate to get a read on the economic health of the Eurozone. In the US, the Fed's Bostic and Barr will be speaking, and their comments could offer clues on the future direction of interest rates.
Tuesday
Tuesday is packed with a mix of announcements. The Bank of Japan's Policy Meeting Minutes will be a key release, as markets are eager to understand their recent decisions. We'll also get the latest on US inflation/inventory/goods-demand with the Core Durable Goods and Durable Goods reports. Later in the day, the Richmond Fed Manufacturing Index will provide a snapshot of factory activity in that region.

Wednesday
Mid-week brings important updates on the housing market and consumer spending. Core Retail Sales and Retail Sales data from the US will be closely watched for signs of consumer strength or weakness.

Setbacks don’t end your story. They shape it.
I’ve been trading since 1999. I’ve lived through the dot-com bubble, the financial crisis, the pandemic, and countless personal challenges. What kept me going wasn’t avoiding setbacks—it was learning how to bounce back stronger each time. Here’s what I’ve learned 👇
