I am very sorry to have learnt Dr Dame Denise Coia died last night at 5.30pm surrounded by her family & friends. Dame Denise had been unwell for some time - her extraordinary contribution to psychiatry and medicine in Scotland is unparalleled.

My heart is bursting and my eyes leaking with the fierce pride I feel for these new graduates going off into an uncertain world. You are all wonderful. Be brave and take care of yourselves. I hope we celebrate properly soon.
