@sashuwa77246 Why would I lie? I have nothing to gain or lose. Some fundamentalist demand strict alcohol abstinence but this is never taught anywhere in scripture or church tradition. Anyways, giving up something that you do not desire is not giving up anything, it's an empty gesture.

@sashuwa77246 I rarely if ever drink soda or alcohol and I don't do drugs. A lot of unhealthy foods deplete your body of nutrients.

@sashuwa77246 Well yes, if you are fasting for reasons other than religious such as vanity, but you were talking about health so I mentioned the health parts. Obviously fasting for health doesn't bring you closer to God. Self denial and prayer is what's doing that.

@Duranous When you align fasting with your connection with God it is beneficial but when called to fast. We don't need to go 40 days and 40 night to try to out do other Christians. Fasting is a tool, it doesn't bring you closer to God if its not within your personal relationship with him.

@sashuwa77246 Most people don't get enough vitamin D and plenty of bioactive/safe versions of vit D. You can actually take a ton of vitamin D, it's not toxic, however if you take a lot you will have to pee like crazy. However, it has extremely high benefits against cancer and other illnesses

@sashuwa77246 Also, there are definitely healing benefits to fasting which is more of a happy side effect to the real reason that you should which is to become closer to God.

@sashuwa77246 The benefits of weed are highly overrated and you can get those same benefits by taking vitamin D (the actual source of cancer reduction) and several other vitamins which you can get from a healthy diet or natural, bioactive supplement. Vitamin D by itself helps with cell health

@sashuwa77246 I didn't know about water fluoridation my whole life and neither did you probably. In fact, I doubt you came into all your current beliefs until the past 10-15 years.
