@C0pyyyy @HomeDepotemkin Well im glad you had a good time. The combo execution is not even the hardest part of the game. Blockstrings and setting up mix ups with a puppet-ed character is very complex.

@Dylan645M @HomeDepotemkin Okay, I’ve changed my mind. lol. There is some execution necessary for 2XKO. This was a fun challenge. I’m not going to finish the trials tonight but I’ve definitely had more fun than anticipated.

Akali is harder execution than any character I have played in Strive 😵‍💫

@Dylan645M @HomeDepotemkin I’m on expert combo 3 now at about 48 minutes in. Im not going to get to expert 5 in under an hour. But i can’t cap. Expert 1 was probably the hardest so far. The 3h jc loops were tough but really sick to do.

@C0pyyyy @HomeDepotemkin I think you misinterpreted what I am saying. If im strictly teaching a beginner to do ABC super, 2xko is easier. But in a practical master+ or vanq+, the execution requirements to do actual good bnbs/oki/pressure is hard in 2xko

@Dylan645M @HomeDepotemkin Then why could you teach someone faster in 2Xko and not strive? A DP motion stops a lot of beginners. Super motions even more. In fact, if motion controls weren’t hard, we wouldn’t be getting simpler inputs in modern games.

@Dylan645M @HomeDepotemkin 2XKO’s minute to minute gameplay is very intense and I understand that could impact perceived difficulty but just looking at that combo trial, I know I can do it. I’m just half holding buttons like an SFV Abigail combo.

@C0pyyyy @HomeDepotemkin Special inputs like quarter circles and dp dont really add to execution difficulty if you play fighting games at all. Like sure I could probably teach a beginner ABC special super in 2xko before I could teach then ABC super in strive

@Dylan645M @HomeDepotemkin I understand there’s just no way I can be convinced a single button special game with varied times is going to be harder than directional inputs with varied times I’m willing to subject myself to it to prove a point because it’ll probably be a chill evening of games.

@C0pyyyy @HomeDepotemkin Strive does have hard stuff execution wise. But like as a whole package strive is much easier than 2xko (executionally)

@C0pyyyy @HomeDepotemkin Yeah, I just dont agree, hc is way less physically demanding than the good stuff in 2xko. Like obviously you can do ABC super with characters in 2xko and it is easier, but to do actual good bnbs, blockstrings, and oki set ups require way more physical execution that strive

@HomeDepotemkin Agreed. Combining all that, plus more technically demanding execution makes for a harder experience. I’m being very clear and I’m just repeating myself at this point. If you don’t understand, that’s fine. That happens on x,

@HomeDepotemkin You said tight execution but you only mean tight timing and that’s my point. You know prenerf happy chaos and the difficulty of both execution and timing for his take aim loops with negative edge. Thats harder than anything I’ve had to do thus far in 2X.

You can also go into this completely reversal safe by doing Tardus > Staff > Draw > Full Order, allowing you to see the big words "REVERSAL" smile. Credit to twincast for figuring this out

so far I think it’s highly possible asuka beats: Nago, Aba, Sol, Zato, Slayer (only ones i’ve played) I can see the vision for Leo and Gio still but i’d need to fight them

@tchukkelz @Cloudsofsnow83 @hotashis Its combo'd for awhile now actually. It use to launch on hit and you could combo from there. Now it keeps them grounded but you can still combo

if ASW wants a healthier meta, and to address "areas where gameplay has tended to favor overly specific actions or choices resulting in a narrower range of decision-making" Kapel, K mappa, Anji, Elphelt rekka, Asuka 2D, anything HC does etc all need to be removed/changed/nerfed
