There is a flash flood warning until noon for the area of the track. One future radar I looked at showed a small window for this afternoon but didn’t look long enough. Could get a decision by NASCAR later this morning.

Because the forecast can change, NASCAR will wait until the morning before making a decision. If it is clear there is no window to race, it could come sometime in the morning (I don’t know if that is 8am, 10am, noon). Green flag wouldn’t be before 2:30p ET.

@bobpockrass It would be sweet if NASCAR could make a decision tonight. Otherwise my family could be looking at a 2 and half hour drive for nothing if NASCAR choose to wait tomorrow.

After what happened at Daytona last year, nascar has been very conservative when considering whether to race in sprinkles on an oval.
