Why did #CormacMcCarthy use a shopping cart in the road? They are the loudest thing imaginable, have terrible wheels for any rough terrain, and aren't that big for loading things. Weren't there any utility wagons or wheelbarrows around?

The film adaptation of 'The Thin Man' was a bit lighter than the book, but a really solid movie! I liked the scene where Nick is shooting balloons with a pellet gun on Christmas morning. It added to the more hammy demeanor of the movie version of Nick. #noir #oldhollywood
