Her PhD thesis was "A Study of Simple Groups of Even Order" genealogy.math.ndsu.nodak.edu/id.php?id=17863 I was unable to find a copy of it online, but I did find a citation of her work in this 1976 article from @MAAnow Mathematics Magazine: maa.org/sites/default/…

We remember Sister Elizabeth Michaels, who passed away recently. She graduated from @EmmanuelCollege in 1946 with a degree in mathematics, then returned later to serve as Professor of Mathematics, earning her PhD in math from Notre Dame during that time. snddeneastwest.org/sisters/elizab…
