@OtakuEspiritu Trig sometimes really shows his biases. Everyone has got their own bias somewhere, and I know I am no exception. Lets see what happens when the dust settles.

No there not, she has said 3 different things, and each time she gets pushed for details, she blocks or runs to Rev. Your just talking out of your ass.

Being an older reader gives me the top down clarity to understand how much Oda decided to pump up the story going into Skypeia. The Skypeia arc is when Oda decided that 250 chapters wasn’t enough and Editorial agreed. Everything afterwards builds towards that larger narrative

@TN_20_ I know, but you know there is that one person who will fight two world wars for the pokemon company and would claim that Champions will kill showdown. I can almost promise you they exist.

@EMemetron @Vaksi___v2 @wwarrior_1 What do you mean biased ? Do you think that the judge was a tectone hate watcher lol? He lost a civil case even after consulting with like 8 different lawyers. There was nothing out of the ordinary that would suggest any bias against the guy. He just lost the case, that’s it

@vxunderground I saw that one post talking about Vim local code execution. Forgive my stupidity, but is Vim still safe or is this another "Nothing ever happens"

@Vaksi___v2 @wwarrior_1 I did see the result, but it sounded like the whole court process was very messy and biased. I want to know if he actually earned that sentence. I know Legal Mindset covered it, but watching some of it still makes it kinda unclear. I'd rather know that hate blindly.

@EMemetron @wwarrior_1 He lost. The protective order was approved, he was asked to pay $15,000 for reasonable attorney fees and he has a firearms affidavit that prevents him from owning any guns for 10 years (punishable by imprisonment of 5-10 years and a fine of $250,000). He's raped.

@vxunderground For Curiosity's sake, do people use alternatives at all, or do you shoot yourself in the foot if you try something like gitlabs?

There is some sort of dark irony that I've seen multiple completely legitimate cybersecurity researchers be banned from GitHub. These are researchers who are verified, clean, years upon years (sometimes decades) of experience. They're well known people. Their code and reasoning for their ban is usually unexplained or deemed "malicious". Then some angry nerd drops a Microsoft zero day exploit on GitHub, a platform owned by Microsoft, yet it remains up.

@AnyaNyabyss Sit in a different room, in the dark, with nothing distracting. Look at a wall and think of all the details of that wall. Nothing else. You'll get mentally tired after a while and will either go to bed or sleep right there.

@SenseiAnother I am a believer that your players can't do everything, and that good. However, I hate when people set up what should be a challenging, but doable encounter only to make it impossible because 'they didnt do it right'. This is why the pathfinder's '+10 to crit, -10 to fail' works.

There is a big problem with entitled DMs who think they can act like giggling trolls just because there are fewer DMs than players. Players need to learn they can just leave. DMs are already gods in their game settings, they control the reality within the game. If instead of trying to help players have a good time, they try to "win" against the players or punish players with "let's see how badly you fail because I'm punishing you for what I, the god of this world, arbitrarily declared a wrong idea, instead of just communicating"... Then you know you're dealing with mentally ill person who power trips on players instead of booking therapy. I promise you guys, it's easier to find good groups than you think. You don't to stay with shitty DMs until you develop enough of a Stockholm Syndrome to start liking shitty games. In the past I hopped through several bad games in a single month to find a good group where we played a campaign for two years. Stop rewarding power trippers with daddy issues just because you're told DMs are scarce.

@VeryDMonstrous I think the problem with most subversion is some creators think subverting anything is good. Using subversion to raise stakes without it feeling cheap is what you should be aiming for imo.

Subversion of expectations is all the rage nowadays, and often done poorly. Yet it is not bad on it's own. When handled carefully and with consideration, it does actually spice things up. This was the case in Star Fox: Assault. The conflict between Venom and Corneria had run it's course. When the game starts, Oikkoney was in command of what was left of his uncle's forces (Most of whom were in it for the money). For the Cornerian Fleet and StarFox, this is clean up. The end to a very long war and legacy of evil. Then along comes a threat from outside the Lylat system: The Aparoids. A swarm of powerful cybernetic organisms. They are truly alien, motivations unclear, and power even greater than that of Andross. They arrive in force, catching all in the Lylat system off guard, and begin conquering whole worlds. The script was now flipped on it's head. Even though StarFox team managed to score several victories (including the destroying the entire invasive species), none of the battles were easy. Each extracted a sizable toll on the defenders. The devs really did a great job of showing that the Aparoids were a tremendous, distinct threat.
ChronoKatie - Now Playing Nier Replicant@ChronoKatie

Star Fox Assault was so real for starting the game with the Andross boss and then having it get immediately killed by the new enemy. They were like, "No no, we're not doing that again."
