@heymrsbond I wish my school would allow this. It’s all about the “teach them how to use it correctly” idea as if these students have any such current capability. And we’re not allowed to take off a single point for AI, so I have no recourse except to only grade handwritten assignments.

I am not a candy teacher. I refuse to bribe students like they are animals because they are capable humans. However, I’m one of the only teachers on staff right now not using bribery.

@yesthatteacher The argument isn't about the literature; it's about the time period in which it was written. Both sides should be willing to compromise and have kids read classic and more current texts.
