@ESBreton GREAT POINT! I wonder how you would need to prepare the juniper berries though to soften them since they’re *technically* cones (if we compare them to irl juniper at least). I know they’re eaten as raw ingredients in game, I wonder if you have to blanch em, etc

@RyanStrifePlays I really enjoyed the first one with the pirate crew! The current one just seems like it's showing me all the mechanics at the moment which is fine but still excited!

@ESBreton You do not need to do them in order to progress the main quest but they are fun to do, introduce great characters who may or may not appear in other quests you may do. Plus, extra skill points and gold to be earned by doing them!

@RyanStrifePlays Oh do I not need to do the zone quests? I had the impression that they were manditory

@ESBreton It’s always a good option. What I always do is do 1 or 2 of the harbourage quests then do a zone story (Glenumbra for example) then do another harbourage quest and then move onto the next zone (Stormhaven) whilst also doing fighters guild and mages guild quests for each zone too

@RyanStrifePlays Yeah, there's so much to do! I thought maybe I'll just focus on the main quest for now since everything levels without anyways and then I could pick another campaign or something

@ESBreton Lastly, Explore. Tamriel is gigantic and full of awesome stuff and things. Quests aplenty and lots of fun to be had.

My ideal Elder Scrolls VI would have Kingdom Come Deliverance II's melee combat but with the fluidity of movement of Hellish Quart

@dom_dinh I feel oblivion was good at class rp but Skyrim with world rp. Kinda hope we get a solid mix of the two in ESVI! I try not to think about it though somce it's probably a ways off haha

@ESBreton Oh and don't get me wrong i LOVE being able to set my own rules for roleplay and Skyrim basically let's you mold it for yourself, but after now playing through Oblivion and seeing how in depth the RPG mechanics are in it, I see Skyrim in a different way (still love it tho)

I did another Skyrim playthrough and that game just does its best to make you hate every faction huh

@dom_dinh A lot of people who love morrowind don't like skyrim because of that. It makes the role easy, but I've realized recently that skyrim just makes whatever role you wanna play easy. Follow a moral code and set limits to yourself and it feels like a bit of a different game haha

@ESBreton I am also being incredibly reductive and I am aware of that lol but after having spent another 50 hours in Skyrim, I think it's narrative lends itself to you being the chosen one in every faction and doesn't bother with making me like the characters

@dom_dinh I wish we had a choice to join cicero, that would've been wild. Arcano is the villian for winterhold right? I don't remember what his thing was. And the guy in the thieves guild (forgot his name) who's just so unlikeable it's obvious he's doing something off

@ESBreton basically every faction in the game apart from maybe the Companions is struggling and need you to rebuild them, which is okay as a theme but every questline has to have that one main villain that ruins it a bit for me -Dark Brotherhood -Thieves Guild -College of Winterhold

@dom_dinh Ah sure, I used to play just for loot. Now I roleplay and study though. Like right now on one hand I am doing a lore accurate redguard warrior who would 100% side with the blade because paarthunax's crimes went unpaid. And then I have a bosmer who avoids people all together.

@ESBreton personally speaking I don't think most factions in the game are likeable enough for me to care about them 3 examples: -blades (bc WHY do I have to kill Parthaunax) -imperials & stormcloaks (civil war is such a wasted opportunity) -dawnguard (isran is bland) I have more lol

Playing Gates of Sovngarde mod for Skyrim, this is the first time I could ever afford to run so many mods on a game and I'm blown away... I decided for my first playthrough I would do the vanilla start and play as a Nord, just as I did the first time I played in 2011 #skyrim
