so the omega's still functional, if grumpy, and everyone's still a contributing member to society (idk why i'm worldbuilding this so hard, but the idea won't leave my mind, so might as well throw it out into the world so the brainrot will finally leave me alone)

their mates still have to take care of them (bringing food, water, baths, etc.) but it's less demanding/exhausting they just have to cuddle/scent their omega constantly (which would settle their own instincts), prepare food in case they need to leave the house for a few hours

love the idea of omegas on suppressants not having the urge to get railed during their heats, but instead they get moody and incredibly clingy they still go thru preheat symptoms (nesting, carb loading) but since the urge to boink is gone, they just wanna be a blanket burrito

@phoenix_claws imo mydei's just glad phainon's attention isn't totally on him anymore so he can hide his crush for longer (tho his heart twinges for some reason when he sees figgy and phai together) but viggy is NOT happy, in his eyes this is phai's payback, now he's stealing figgy away

@ESolstice_ The sprout does not stay down so Figgy just keeps trying. Now enter ragebaited Mydei now tries to plan to catch Phai’s attention. Meanwhile Figgy and Phai are none the wiser of the dilemma and are just chilling thinking Vigethos and Mydei are still enjoying time together.

the idea of mydei being so affectionate towards vigethos/beagle coconut bc he's so emotionally constipated he can't express his feelings towards phainon properly and phainon seein desperately wishing to swap places with his chimera version bc he wants mydei to cuddle him too

@phoenix_claws then phainon gets woken up with a yowling chimera trying to bite/scratch him, to his shock doesn't do any damage, but fig stew sees the commotion and turns his nose up at vigethos when vigethos looks at him to explain and it's the start of vigethos moping era, to mydei's alarm

@ESolstice_ Oh imagine Vigethos seeing a napping Phainon and Fig stew in the Garden of Life and just *freezing*. Fig Stew just snuggling into Phainon’s neck while using his high collar as a shield. If Vigethos is ANYTHING like Phainon the frustration followed by internal wall scratching.

@phoenix_claws phainon feels better after, and muses that he understands mydei a little better now, the chimeras ARE cute meanwhile fig stew distances himself from vigethos, who's now wondering why fig stew doesn't like him anymore (and once again they become the hot topic w/ the chimeras)

@phoenix_claws oh, the instant idea i had— a moping phainon sees a heartbroken fig stew, wonders why the chimera looks so sad, and they share a quiet moment in the garden phainon vocalizes his frustrations w/ himself and in the end fig stew curls up in his lap, comforted by phainon's presence

... did i just think of a phaidei au with their chimeras in a love square of sorts? wtf me. seriously, what was I thinking???? this is DEFINITELY brain fog, I'm sick, that's the only reason why i came up with this fr

they start treating fig stew like a wife who's been left behind by their husband for another woman, with sympathy and pity, and no matter how much fig stew denies it, he and vigethos are still close, he's NOT ABANDONED! he can't help but think that it's actually true)
